Based in Yorktown, VA, GMI has, through its distinctive form of ministry, caused a ripple effect to occur around the world in both Southeast Asia and Eastern Africa.
GMI was founded as a volunteer supported organization to meet the growing need for training in the areas of counseling, conflict resolution, mentoring, and servant leadership. Training and resources have been brought to communities of believers with minimal or little access to such educational opportunities.
Church and community leaders have been the primary focus of the teams? training. In this way the greatest impact has been achieved as the leaders have continued to receive on-going support, encouragement, and consultation from the Global Mosaic teams. Funding is also provided to identified leaders in the forms of grants so that they may avail themselves of educational programs and in some cases pursue formal degrees.
Commitments have been made already for 2005 as we return to Kuala Lumpur and Melacca, Malaysia, Singapore, and Dar el Salaam, Tanzania. In addition we will bring our training and educational programs to two cities in Uganda, East Malaysia, and Brunei. GMI is continuously recruiting qualified people dedicated to being part of the ripple effect created when God?s people step out in faith to serve and minister.
We have a real and immediate need for continued financial support. All gifts to the ministry of Global Mosaic International, Inc. are tax deductible and are very gratefully received. Contributed funds are all designated directly to the support of teams, materials, and conference needs. All administrative costs of GMI are independently met by other sources.
One area of giving that is urgent is the sponsoring of African participants for one week. An investment of $100 will allow one church or community leader to avail himself or herself of these educational opportunities. Participants often travel long distances of up to two days by foot and bicycle because they are excited by the desire to be more effective leaders of their people.
Please consider us in your year-end ministry giving. A total of $60,000 is needed to cover the conference costs, room & board for 500 African leaders and 9 teams for 4 1/2 months of ministry in 2005.
